Terms of Service

1. Reservations and Booking

All reservations at Menizei are made through authorized booking channels including menizei.com, Airbnb and VRBO. A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment as specified at checkout. Confirmation is sent by email to the address provided at booking.

Menizei is an adults-only property. All guests must be 18 years of age or older. Reservations are for a maximum of two guests per basecamp. Additional guests are not permitted.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation policies vary by booking channel and rate type. The policy displayed at the time of booking governs your reservation. Please review your confirmation email for the specific terms that apply to your stay.

In the event that Menizei must cancel a reservation due to circumstances beyond our control — including severe weather, infrastructure failure or safety concerns — guests will receive a full refund of all amounts paid or an offer to rebook at no additional cost. Menizei is not responsible for travel costs, transportation or other expenses incurred in connection with a cancelled reservation.

3. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Check-out is required by 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and must be arranged in advance with the stewards. Unauthorized late departures may result in additional charges.

Guest access instructions are provided in your pre-arrival communication. Self-check-in is standard; a steward is available by phone for questions or assistance during your stay.

4. House Rules

The following rules apply to all guests and all basecamps at Menizei:

Adults-only. No guests under 18 years of age.
No pets. Animals are not permitted on the property.
No smoking indoors. Smoking is not permitted inside the tent structure, bathhouse or sauna. Outdoor smoking is permitted in designated areas only, with full extinguishment required.
Campfire safety. Fires are permitted only in the designated campfire ring. Never leave a fire unattended. Fires must be fully extinguished before sleeping or departing the basecamp. During periods of elevated fire risk or burn bans, campfires may be prohibited; guests will be notified in advance.
Quiet hours. Out of respect for other guests and the natural environment, loud music and amplified sound are not permitted outdoors after 10:00 PM.
No events or gatherings. The basecamps are not available for parties, events or gatherings beyond the registered two guests.
Leave no trace. Guests are expected to leave the basecamp in the condition in which it was found. Excessive mess or damage will result in additional cleaning or repair charges.

5. Damage and Liability

Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, basecamp structures, furnishings or equipment caused during their stay. Menizei reserves the right to charge the payment method on file for repair or replacement costs.

Menizei is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage to personal property during your stay. The property contains natural terrain including uneven ground, standing water, wildlife and other outdoor hazards. Guests accept these conditions and agree to exercise appropriate care.

6. Wildlife and Environment

Menizei sits within an active natural environment. Guests may encounter wildlife including deer, elk, birds and small mammals. Do not feed, approach or interfere with wildlife. Interactions with wildlife are the guest's responsibility.

7. Enhancements and Add-On Services

Enhancements including campfire gastronomy, milestone photography and forest bodywork are provided by or arranged through Menizei and third-party providers. Enhancement bookings are subject to separate terms and availability. Refunds for pre-booked enhancements follow the cancellation policy in effect at the time of booking.

8. Seasonal Operation

Menizei operates seasonally from 1 April through 31 October. The property is closed during the off-season (1 November through 31 March). Reservations outside the active season are not available.

9. Modifications to These Terms

Menizei LLC reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes are effective upon posting at menizei.com/terms. The terms in effect at the time of your booking govern your reservation.
