Forest Bodywork
Touch that belongs outdoors. No choreography required. Forest Bodywork is an optional, forest-based massage experience delivered by a licensed therapist designed to support rest, circulation and reconnection—without schedules, spa rooms, or performance.

At Menizei, Forest Bodywork treats touch as environmental rather than clinical. There is no spa menu, no scented corridors and no scripted flow. Instead, skilled hands meet cool air, forest stillness and unhurried time.
This isn’t a wellness appointment. It’s bodywork designed to belong in nature—quiet, attentive and restorative beyond the body.
THE FRAMEWORK
Forest Bodywork is guided by three principles:
01
Environment-Integrated Touch
Bodywork performed in the forest responds differently—breath deepens, muscles soften faster, and attention settles without instruction.
02
Responsive, Not Prescriptive
Sessions adapt to the body present in the moment rather than following a fixed sequence or outcome.
03
Reduced Performance Pressure
By removing spa rituals, timelines, and optimization cues, Forest Bodywork allows the nervous system to downshift naturally.
Together, these elements return touch to its simplest function: support.
THE OFFERINGS
Weather allowing, each Forest Bodywork offering is delivered in the open air and designed for one or two.
The STILLNESS
Nirvana for solo travelers. Body work delivered with a side of invigorating salt air and crashing waves below. Skilled, intuitive touch meets coastal stillness, allowing tension to dissolve between forest canopy and open horizon. Unhurried, grounded and quietly immersive, this is restoration shaped by place rather than performance.
Best for: SOLO TRAVELERS
PRICE: $300
THE ATTUNEMENT
Side-by-side on a cedar platform above the Salish Sea, two massage therapists work in unison while the waves crash below. If you’re going to savor a couples massage, it might as well come with an ocean soundtrack and a view that humbles the soul. Synchronized touch meets salt air and open horizon, turning bodywork into shared stillness shaped by place rather than performance.
Best for: COUPLES
PRICE: $600

Why Place Matters
Forest Bodywork works because of where it happens. Menizei’s coastal forest—cool temperatures, filtered light, and consistent ambient sound—creates ideal conditions for the body to release without effort. The forest does part of the work. The hands follow.
Who is This For
Align expectations and repel optimization-minded guests.Forest Bodywork is designed for couples who value quiet restoration over spectacle. It’s best suited for those open to subtle shifts—slower breathing, softened tension, a deeper sense of arrival—rather than dramatic transformation.
FAQ
What is Forest Bodywork?
Forest Bodywork is Menizei’s approach to massage—quiet, intentional, and shaped by the outdoor environment. Each session is designed to support rest and recovery rather than produce a result.
Is this a spa treatment or massage service?
No. There’s no spa setting and no scripted routine. Forest Bodywork is delivered by licensed professionals whose technical skill is matched by attentive presence.
Do we need to prepare in any way?
Yes. A brief confidential intake form is completed prior to arrival so nothing interrupts the moment once you’re tucked into your basecamp. While your therapists prepare the tables, we recommend a sauna session, arriving grounded, warm and already softened.
Is Forest Bodywork done outdoors?
Yes, weather permitting. Sessions take place on forest platforms or inside your private tent designed to maintain connection to the environment.
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Sessions are adapted thoughtfully and tables are set up within your tent.
When do couples usually schedule Forest Bodywork?
Most choose late morning or early afternoon, when the forest is quiet and bodies are naturally receptive—but timing is flexible.
Can sessions be combined or repeated during a stay?
Yes. Some couples choose one grounding session early and a restorative or shared session later in their stay.
When do we reserve Forest Bodywork?
Sessions are reserved during checkout so practitioners can be scheduled in advance. Availability is limited and not guaranteed on site.
